Dear Jeremy,

The Yankees are falling apart. Brown, Giambi and Mussina are hurt and the bullpen just throws away the game. They have started calling Felix Herridia, Felix Horrendous. Last night he gave up a double to delgado that scored the tying run. Rumours are rampant that the Yankees are in a 3 way trade with the Padres and the Diamondbacks. The Padres are to get Steve Finley, the Yankees get Randy Johnson and the Daimondbacks unload salary and get prospects. Not sure I would do the trade if I were the Diamondbacks.

Mommy read me your letters over the phone and it sounds like you are having a wonderful time. I'm glad. I know you had some trepidation but, obviously, your worries were unfounded.

How is it swimming in the lake. I never really cared for it. I like knowing where my boundaries are and I don't like feeling weeds and sticks when I swim. Although, I heard that man made island is lots of fun.

When I was 26, Elliot Adler, Steve Schwell and I went to a summer camp for the memorial day weekend. We played softball, hung out at the pool and played volleyball. It must have been fun because I still remember a lot of the details 17 years later.

I think my favorite part of camp was hanging out by the campfire. The air outside is cold but your face feels the heat from the fire. The only downside is that the hotdogs were either undercook or so hot it burnt your mouth. Oh well.

I also remember the hot chocolate in the morning. I guess many of my favorite camp memories centered around being cold and then being hot.

I'm sure you will make your own favorite camp memories.
